What Does God Do to Gays? Part II

If God is Who many of the cynically delusional in religion claim Him to be, then God has LOTS of ideas as to how to mistreat gays, right?

According to some of those who would assert that the Holy Bible is absolutely true God is responsible for everything that happens. Everything. Blessings, punishments...EVERYTHING. Nothing happens without God's say so since everything is a part of His fantabulous plan, which of course was formed and approved by God's planning committee consisting of He, Him, and Himself. ANY and ALL punishment for all things 'sinful' are by God's supposed divine Will. It all boils down to this: If someone is punished for their sins...well, that is simply how it is going to be. It doesn't matter how it was done or who it was by, or whether or not it was something terrible and crappy and totally fucked up since God purposely allowed it to happen in order to punish them for their wicked ways. I see.

Sooo...I was thinking that the clips from the first part of this particular discussion were bad enough, right? Well, apparently God has lots of ideas as to how to mistreat gays. Notice that God does not say specifically to do this or that, but He sure as fuck does not stop any of His folks or ANYONE for that matter (or Himself) from some of the terrible things done to gays whilst in fits of intense homophobic passions, does He? And, yes, it must be noted that all Christians are not homophobic and do not all hurt gays, and likewise not all homophobic people are Christian and not all homophobic people hurt gays in some form or other. Just gotta put that out there to be fair.

This man was murdered because he was gay. There are people who celebrated his death as judgment by God for being gay. Sickening. This human being was murdered because of his sexual preference. How is this punishment more important to God than killing those who kill other people, or who rape other people, or who commit adultery and other crimes? I thought it says in the Bible that all fall short of the glory of God? If that is the case...

How do you think this same East Indian politician would feel if the United States booted out all of the East Indian people who are here in the states and who are not Christian and who insist on practicing their cultural practices here? That would be immensely offensive to the people and their country and their sense of humanity. Where is this asshole's sense of humanity? Oh, that's right. He's an asshole.

Sooo...does the police department involved here think that the gay bar and its patrons deserve less protection because they are gay? For Christ's sake! The place was getting damaged and people beaten! What the fuck more do you need to protect and serve? A straight dick and a cross?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PiGqwrfmOE

Some religious zealots and fundamentalists and literalists are dedicated to slippery slope thinking...big time. Oh, look! If you give gays any rights the earth will go up in a big ball of flame and the Tribulation will set upon man faster than ever! AAAAHHHH!!!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPBEZmuuPAw

Sooo...never mind the science of climate shift, but the mega hurricanes are really punishment from God because He is so pissed off with the sin of being gay that He decides to punish people who are NOT gay...by virtue of the weather? Who is being punished for what here? I am a lesbian. What the hell did Hurricane Sandy do to me? Why would someone else who is NOT a lesbian be punished for me being a lesbian? How does this work?

Uganda is one fucked up country. Hands down. We have our issues in the US, but damn. Uganda takes the cake. Actually, a LOT of countries in Africa take the cake.

See...it does not take much to feel hope and see hope and hear hope, right? Listen to what this woman has to say. Really listen.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXvGX_odZ4I

Sooo...this total douchebag preacher suggests that if your little boy starts acting like a girl you should smack him around. Punch your kid? This guy is suggesting child abuse, advocating it.

What Does God Do To Gays? Part I

Divine sanctions for mistreatment of homosexuals?

Sooo...if being gay is a bad thing how does God want people to behave in regards to punishing what is supposed to be a very bad thing? Does God tell people what the punishment is supposed to be or does He let them choose how to punish gays so long as it is something that falls under the confines of the definition of 'punishment' or something similar? Let's take a peek, shall we?

Sooo...what God does to punish gays is to punish EVERYONE? Why in the world punish everyone for something so few do? Does law really work like this, where everyone should be punished for what others do? Is this divine judgment? And garbage like this is precisely part of what gives God and religion such a bad name. Seriously? You really, really think that the changing weather patterns in Colorado are part of some divine judgment for issues with gay marriage? You're smoking crack, dude. It is called 'weather' and it happens to be a major part of the processes of this planet, which by the way is a living planet so these thing DO happen. And why the fuck would God punish everyone in Colorado for something only a fraction choose, hummm? That sounds fair and balanced, right?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjLJgsdoCH0

This guy thinks that gays (or at least people who engage in gay sex) should be shot in the head with a bullet or bow and arrow. Wonderful. He says this toward the end of this clip in case you were wondering. I only say that because this fellow goes on and on before he gets to saying that. Anyways, this is quite the misleading video. The wrestler's stage name was Rick Michaels and his real name is Raymond Rawls. He was charged with sexual exploitation and NOT being gay as this ding dong apparently thinks. Sexual exploitation IS a crime...as it SHOULD BE. Being gay is not a crime, as it SHOULD NOT BE.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzqhX66cCz4

Did you know that the term 'sodomy' is not only NOT in the Bible, but it is a terrible and purposeful misinterpretation added to the repertoire of the Christian religion by those seeking to control by redefining what the divine is against as far as sex goes? No? Check this out:  http://nwanglicanblog.wordpress.com/2011/02/14/sodomy-a-biblical-word-study-that-might-surprise-you/  And did you know that the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah had nothing to do with homosexuality? Check this out: http://www.webpages.uidaho.edu/ngier/sodom.htm  Sooo...you do realize that the first use and supposed intended meaning of the word 'sodomy' is completely inconsistent with the Bible, right? The Bible never, NEVER said such a word with such a meaning. People added that shit. Check this out: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/sodomy  And finally, here is the clip where some ass munch named Pat Buchanan says gays ought to be castrated at about 3:10 into the clip:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odJHdqNYYCM

This is horrible and deeply heartbreaking. People did this to their child whom they suspected was gay. A child. Their child. Do YOU have children? Would you do such a fucked up thing to them just because you suspected them to be gay? Do you know what it is like to be looked down upon and belittled and harassed and demeaned and mistreated because you are gay? Do you know what it is like to want to die because of how you are treated because you are gay? Would you want your sibling or child to feel such a way?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dFEYqpYxMg

God, the Bigot. And yes, Bigot should be capitalized since God IS the biggest, baddest BIGOT there ever was, correct?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXjl8E1zv0w

Listen...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aO5BuNdk_Bk

Jail time for being gay. ? Jail time for being gay? Robbers and thugs and molesters go to jail for harming, HARMING others. In a same-sex marriage someone is creating a bond with someone they LOVE. If you are straight...would YOU go to jail to marry the man or woman you love? I am a woman. Would I go to jail just to marry the woman I love? Yes.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJ1ddkVH1AU

Duck your head? This woman is fucked in her head.

!

Where is the wrath and punishment of God for elder abuse, rape, robbery, battery, exploitation, bigamy, pedophilia, physical abuse, mental abuse, spiritual abuse, child abuse, animal abuse...all of these abuses that some people seem to have an affinity for? Out of all of these terrible things God chooses to punish EVERYONE for those who are gay? Being gay is not a crime, but rape is a crime. Being gay is not a crime, but child abuse is a crime. Being gay is not a crime, but robbery is a crime. Being gay is not a crime, but elder abuse is a crime. WTF, God?

Maybe part of the problem is that there are some people who just have a need to be mean, whether or not the fulfillment of that need pacifies some deep-seeded desire for control and power. I do not know. But...I think there are just some people who have this need, this push from within them, this propensity to be mean...and they WILL defend this need. Yikes. Fuck 'em.

What a move by these parents who set this shit up, hummm? Shut out the gay kids? What a way to bring a society and a people together, what a way to teach your children/the next generation how to behave and treat others. Nice.

Signs Jesus is Coming Soon

And HOW Long Have the Religiously Afflicted Been Claiming This?

Loads and loads of people over roughly the last couple of thousand years have tried to predict when the supposed second arrival of Jesus Christ will take place. Do you ever wonder what the Bible has to say about this? Let's check it out, shall we?

Matthew 24:36, "But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only."

Sooo...when it comes to the above verse what I would like to know is how in the freaky-doo can GOD know when Jesus will return but Jesus Himself will NOT know. How does this work? Isn't Jesus supposed to be God? Wouldn't Jesus be all-knowing? If Jesus is all-knowing then...uhmmm...wouldn't He know the details of His scheduled return to planet earth? Some translations of this verse even say that the Son does not know. Lovely. Why not confuse the fuck out of your followers, right? Give 'em something juicy to argue over for centuries. Wonderful. Anyways, the point made here with this verse is that no one is supposed to know. Considering that...why the fuck believers continue to make predictions as to when Jesus will come back is curious. Even when people say, "We don't know when, but soon," that is STILL making a prediction.

Matthew 23:34,"Most certainly I tell you, this generation will not pass away, until all these things are accomplished."

Here we have an apparent blunder by the Son of God Himself, and why more Christians don't pay closer attention is interesting. Those who DO pay attention have all sorts of ways to explain away this divine SNAFU, right? In verse 36 of this same chapter Jesus says only GOD knows when the return will be and that even the Son (that would be Jesus) does not know. Hummm. But...here in this verse Jesus clearly makes a prediction as to when the return will be. He says the present generation will not pass away until all of these things have happened. For many Christians, when this obvious Jesus-flub is pointed out they claim that Jesus was referring to the present generation of Man that fell from the Garden of Eden. Of course, ask them about any other generation of Man that fell from the Garden of Eden and they look at you like you are crazy. Seriously. Ask them. Why would the term "present generation" be used unless there is some kind of reference to a past and a future generation? That was explained to me as the past generation was Man before he fell and the future generation is the one that will live eternally with God in heaven. Thus, when Jesus referred to the present generation He really meant all of mankind that is fallen which then means Jesus could come back whenever He freaking wants to and still be correct. Clever. Well, looks like they got all of that horseshit covered.

Matthew 16:28, "Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste of death, until they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom."

Now here is yet another interesting verse, right? Jesus says that there were some there in His presence who would not die until they saw the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom. Sure. Jesus isn't back and all of those mofos who were standing around are all dead...LONG dead, right? This was explained to me a couple of ways one being that Jesus was referring to no taste of death since they lived eternally in the Holy Spirit or some crazy hodgepodge of religious dogma, and the other that Jesus was referring to His transformation and ascension into the big blue sky to be with Big Poppa. Whatever. What explanations have you heard?

Sooo...what about those people who wish to insist that Jesus said there would be signs of His return? Well, let's take a peek into the Bible for info on that as well, hummm?

Mark 13:22, "For there will arise false christs and false prophets, and will show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones."

In the above verse people are warned about false messiahs and prophets makings signs that are not real signs, right? Sooo...all of these crazies who swear by whomever they swear that they have received or seen a real sign really should consider this, right? What is hilariously funny is each of these truly believe they are the one with the real signs while everyone else is false. Good stuff! By the way...if the chosen ones can be led astray how in the fuckey-doo are they the chosen ones?

Acts 2:19, "I will show wonders in the sky above, and signs on the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and billows of smoke."

In this verse is where the real lunatics of religion find their foothold to claim that just about any natural disaster is a freaking sign from God that Jesus is just around the corner. Sounds like God is trying to rip off on nature by counting on people not realizing it is nature they are viewing and not the fairy tale power of the Bible's God.

Luke 21:25, "There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and on the earth anxiety of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the waves; "

Oh, look. Here God is ripping nature off again when it comes to power and awe and things that appear to the unlearned to be miracles but are really normal. Oh, and the reference to the anxiety of nations is equally stupid, right? When hasn't there been some nation or nations on earth squabbling, hummm? There is always someone fighting someone else over something. Even if all of the nations of the earth decided to quit fighting you could probably accurately bet that the countries of the Middle East would opt to continue fighting. Sooo...this anxiety of the nations thing is retarded and absolutely no big revelation of any type.

Why do believers look for signs of anything anyways, hummm? If they are so protected by their God and so favored by Him and so blessed...what the fuck are they worried about? When Jesus gets here, He gets here, right? Why toil over it, why worry, why scare the shit out of yourselves wondering whether or not you are going to meet God's standard, hummm? If God is everywhere wouldn't everywhere and everything be a sign for believers? Go on that and be happy about it. If not, why try to make some kind of holy sign out of every damn thing that happens? That is so stupid. Besides, in Luke 11:29 didn't Jesus admonish those who sought signs, "When the multitudes were gathering together to him, he began to say, "This is an evil generation. It seeks after a sign. No sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah, the prophet."

If you are a believer you shouldn't need any kind of sign because you already believe. With your whole heart at that. If you are a believer looking for or seeking or claiming to have discovered a sign or anything of the like you need to know you have a problem. There is something wrong with your faith from within you. You should not be seeking signs and trying to interpret crazy shit. Just do your divine duty and believe. You do not need to pop about on street corners and pubs and wherever claiming the signs of the times are here. Don't you understand that if people do not believe as you do they do not care, do not give a shit, do not believe in any second coming or first coming for that matter, and most certainly are not seeking signs? Sometimes non-believers might say, "Show me a sign," but that is just a way to try to break it to you demented people who believe this crapola that there are no signs, you have no signs, cannot make any signs, and should be holding signs reading "Disillusioned with Promises of Perfection."

Now, onto some videos.

This is delicious fun! Sooo...this guy has a dream with Bill Nye the Science Guy, and has interpreted this dream to mean that Jesus' return is nigh? Wonderfully hilarious! What is the deal with filming this important message in your car, buddy?

Dude, you people are idiots. Do you know of or have you ever heard of such things as minerals and gasses and natural phenomenon that can change the color of water to a reddish color? Why are you fucktards pretending that there are no explanations for this? You aren't scaring anyone but yourselves, you know this, right? A geo-scientist will know what is going on and sure as hell won't be scared...and the really great thing is you do not have to be such a person to know why the water is turning this color. By the way, it has nothing to do with Jesus or God.

The sun and the moon do not act weird, you dumb twat. They cannot act or make decisions to do anything considered an act. The sun and the moon are part of the natural processes of this solar system, galaxy, and universe. Close your Bible and go get a milkshake.

It is a goddamn sunset, you bastard. A SUNSET. Yes, is it beautiful, but this beauty should NEVER be distorted to be some kind of validation for your delusions and deficient faith.

There have been soooo many people who for soooo long have said again and again that the signs of their times point to this Jesus fellow returning. This man's claims are nothing new at all. The disciples in the Bible thought the same damn thing. Hello.

Haahah!! Here we have Santa Clause's younger brother making his own claims about Jesus' return while trying to sell a few DVDs at the same time.

Dude, you totally fucked up your van. Did Jesus tell you to do that?

Sooo...according to this video God wants to talk to you. Really? If God wants to chat with someone He can do it Himself and not through someone else. He is God and can do anything, right? So, this should not be a problem. If God wants to talk to people He can do it in person and NOT through someone.

Natural...planet...processes. Got it?

Yikes. So many Christians come across like they are the only ones in the universe who, if they believe in something fervently enough, whatever it is they believe in (no matter how fucking screwy) must be absolutely true.

One day closer to being committed to an insane asylum...yay!!

I guess this idiot has never heard of astronomy? Does he know what a star is? Does he know how light travels? Does he know why something in the sky would look like this? Does he bother to try to find out why before he jumps up and says it is a sign of Jesus coming back?

You ding dongs say this with every single war. Even the people in the Bible said this in regards to the war that was occurring during their time in the New Testament. Get a new story, damn.

This is a burning bush? WTF? You have never seen it happen before so it MUST be Jesus? Hah!!

They're clouds, asshole. Clouds.

Holy shit. This man should go back to sleep because he looks so very, VERY tired I actually feel concerned for him. Geeze, buddy...please lay back down. And probably you should worry about this Jesus thing far less because I bet that isn't helping you sleep.

Jesus wants you to be ready with oil? Say...is He a member of O.P.E.C. or anything like that?

If God kept His promises Israel would not be in the pickles it is in, and neither  would they be in such a teeny little country, you know?

Ahhh...signs that the delusions are far-reaching. Isn't that great?

Sooo...if people are believing in Jesus just so they will not be left behind...that is NOT believing for the sake of faith, is it?

Time is short? You do realize this has been said here and there for the last, oh, almost two thousand years? Whose time are you going by, whose watch? It doesn't matter whether or not you think time is short, honey. All that matters is that there is truth and plenty of it. And guess what? Your fairy tale ramblings of a divine zombie peeking around the corner just ready to spring on man is a crock of shit. Sorry to break it to you, but the truth does not consist of crocks of shit, nor has it ever.

Biblical Literalism

Danger, Danger Everywhere and So Many Who Wish to Drink

Biblical literalism is one of the more dangerous aspects of Christianity. What biblical literalism is is taking the words of the Bible and interpreting them in their most basic, literal sense. In case you didn't know this can be an extremely dangerous, destructive, stupid thing to do. Are there exceptions to this when it comes to things in the Bible? I would say yes. How? Well, consider what is said about love (the good things that are said about love), right? Love is patient and kind and conquers all. Or how about the verse that says there is no greater love than that a man lay down his life for his friend (John 15:13)? These are good things, good concepts and ideas.

BUT...when it comes to things like stoning your kids when they are being brats (Deuteronomy 21:18), killing those who work on the Sabbath (Exodus 31:14), stoning a woman if her groom finds her to not be a virgin (Deuteronomy 22:13-29), killing adulterers (Leviticus 20:10), and more, the ramifications of taking these things literally and actually following them is really beyond reason, as well as beyond the message of love that is supposed to be what the Bible is all about.

Sooo...do the hard-nosed Christians of the world really follow the Bible literally as so many claim it should be followed? If the Bible IS supposed to be followed literally what should have happened to Jimmy Swaggart after he sought the services of prostitutes? Let us take a look at some biblical literalism video clips. Some of these are from non-Christians asking questions or simply venting, some are portions of documentaries, and some are from those within the faith themselves.

This man asks a very good question, right? How is it that so many Christian literalists pick and choose what it is they want to take literally from the Bible? How can they say the Bible is literal and then turn around and not follow everything? How does this work?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECgoQbJ88Yk

This is heartbreaking. What the hell is wrong with people? This woman found out first hand, in the most tragic of fashions what can happen when biblical literalism runs amok. Would you want this to happen to your daughter? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnAjke3ZCQE

This is good stuff. Pay attention to the questions asked and fell free to post answers at the end of this posting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tJ37YH_uqM

Some of this is Children of the Corn creepy. Listen to what the minister who used to be a literalist has to say about context, language, culture, and custom. Very, very good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wf-0YQZlM9c

Did you know that the biblical literalism that is SO important to so many Christians is largely a North American phenomenon? I found that to be immensely interesting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkcC8FkS6Nc

Will those who decide to take the Bible literally really take the time to consider the questions like that which this man asks, or will they continue to be stout in their literalism (supposed literalism) in an effort to remain true and straight for God and their faith? Is this a wise thing to do? This literalism IS a cop-out, isn't it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCgBNm8L5P8

Biblical literalists are not really literalists, are they? If they were there would be a hell of a lot more people in jail than there are now. Are YOU a biblical literalist? If so, when will your next daily sacrifice to Yahweh be? Oh, Jesus took care of that for you? Sooo...then the Word of God doesn't stand forever? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSAJrMyq9-Q&list=PL25EAA618C5BB6ECD

The old laws of the Old Testament should still apply since Jesus did say that He did NOT come to abolish the law, right? Explain this. I am sure there are at least three different ways I have heard this explained to me having grown up in a very Christian family. What other explanations can there be? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjHD4QCPa60&list=PL25EAA618C5BB6ECD

Pay attention to what this man points out as being the definition of truth. Very good. And why is the King James version of the Bible one of the favorite interpretations for biblical literalists? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAktCtTMM58

Good stuff! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0XXEd1W0pw&list=PL4mXQHptk2LjeezTQqLS7D2sCed6wH3uj

Oh, yeah. Religion largely gets morality ALL wrong. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEhP6FCjCkQ

God said to do this and to NOT do that. Sooo...how many people actually listen to the one and only true God that they love and actually follow through with ALL of these commands? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oF3TRGh8lrc&list=PL4mXQHptk2LgdG3qgNWiSFkmg6scHTqN_

Well, three cheers for the Bible fudging up royally on the dates, times, places, and people involved in the supposed important events of one of the most popular religions ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5JpD6A3Tm4&list=PL4mXQHptk2LgdG3qgNWiSFkmg6scHTqN_&index=2

Do you think that maybe the Bible has so many contradictions in it to help the dyslexic faithful of the universe to conform? I mean, if people do the opposite of what they are told to do (some people, that is), maybe by God saying something totally the opposite of what He really wants someone to do He will get them to do what they should be doing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVpTzThdsds&list=PL4mXQHptk2LgdG3qgNWiSFkmg6scHTqN_&index=7

Be Very Afraid

Try the newest book that questions the Pentateuch:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=ester+lighthorse

What are the fear mongers saying now?

Well, it has been some time since we have taken a peek at what the religious 'fraidy-cats of America have been saying is happening or is going to happen. Why don't we take a look?

Sooo...do you really think that your statement that human beings have not yet seen the wrath of God in full as of yet holds any merit whatsoever that may justifiably be used in trying to convert people? What kind of God tries to harvest followers with fear? That is straight up bullshit and any straight thinking person knows it. There is no logic whatsoever to your supposed loving faith that is based on a believe this way or die policy. Oh. That's right. It isn't reason or logic or whatever. It is faith. Nope. Sorry, pal. You got that wrong as well.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hX-W-5L_MNg

You mean to tell me that the Christian group mentioned here has NEVER participated or condoned or encouraged or seeded any kind of prejudice or unfairness? Religion is dangerous.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DCF3y4Pf08

Hah! These guys simply cannot do the math. LISTEN to the numbers they are trying to present as a solution/idea. Do they realize that millions of Americans times millions of dollars is FAR MORE than what they apparently think it is? Here the great danger for America is people not knowing what the hell they are talking about.

Sooo...if you are a Christian and if someone who used to be famous told you that Christians in America are in danger would you believe it? If you would believe such a claim is that because the person telling you is famous or because they believe in Jesus or both?

Preachers using the bad news of the world to scare people into transforming the congregation into greater numbers is nothing new. That's right. Use the mean and terrible things that people do to try to prove your God. This guy says that years ago people were not that educated but that they were more moral. What fucking ever. So, I guess for this fellow righteousness equals an individual who is uneducated or who at least has a very limited access to information in general. Scary.

Oh WOW. Somebody has no teeth. Lovely. Anyways, this guy wants to tell you something that sounds so very detrimental to your survival. Try watching this. You will find it is detrimental to your survival.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MceR9Wl8f7Q

Oh dead, dear Jesus. Beck. This guy is a real hoot who regularly hoots out of his ass.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjJ50TWB73I

Yes, I know this clip is fairly long but it is worth it to listen to what this man has to say. If you wish to discuss with any Christian person why their belief in the so-called dangers of Evolution are ridiculous you should know what and how they are thinking, what their material is.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7z1kRoaYSkU

Purposeful twisting of the fact and information to make it look like the Christians of America are under attack is pathetic. Is God so very powerful that He has to rely on lies and twisted facts in order to scare people into believing in Him?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIlkk0KcmgI

The DANGERS of Evolution? Interesting. If you are protected by God why in the hell would you worry about Evolution in the first place? Listen to what this guy says, I mean really listen to the individual claims and refutations he makes. It is pure lunacy.

Holy shit. This guy is trying to say it is dangerous to read and study different books. He also comes out with this little statistic about so many Christians in the world being killed every so many minutes. Where or how he came up with this would be interesting to find out. But never mind all of that, right? According to this guy the only book you need is the Bible.

That's right. God is angry because you are not teaching people that He is angry. If you are not out there trying to convert people to your faith by preaching God's wrath then you cannot control them with their fear. If you cannot control them with their fear then your religious delusion and its hold on other will dissipate.

Claims from Ridiculous Christians

Read Ester Lighthorse's NEW e-book Turkey Broth for the Spirit: Just a Few Questions: the Pentateuch:

Joseph Farah

Have you ever come across a magazine called the Whistleblower? If you have not I encourage you to go and pick one up, take a peek inside, and read some of the craziest bullshit some Christians spew as truth. Absolute ridiculousness is what it is.

In the May 2011 issue of Whistleblower, Volume 20, No. 5, Joseph Farah writes an absurd article in a letter from the publisher on pages 3 and 4. I would like to comment on that particular article here. Yes, I know it is a fairly old article but I would still like to comment on it. I had actually never even heard of this magazine until I was at a friends home and she showed me a couple of articles from a different issue. I was intrigued and requested to borrow a few copies. I took the magazines home and began to go through them, coming across this piece fairly early on.

What I will do here is type the comment made by Farah, and then make a comment of my own in response. I will type his comments word for word just in case you were wondering.

1. "Some people call me a radical." -Joseph Farah- May 2011 Whistleblower

No. Radicals favor drastic political, social and economic reforms...something you clearly do not favor. You do not wish for gays to have the right to marry and you have problems with the idea of Pro-Choice (since it is otra de la ley of Him Who you worship) along with all sorts of other issues that you plant, grow, and harvest from your little field of religious-political fanaticism. Reforms should be good things. You wish to deny people basic rights and just in case you did not know, that would definitely NOT qualify as drastic reform. It might qualify as drastic set-back.

You have this air of wishing to revert to the 'old'. The 'old', some of it, is still very good. What you do not seem to understand is there are elements of the old that are not so good. Perhaps for the time in which it was birthed much of the old was good, but you also seem to forget that even those who created the old recognized that not all of it was good and great. It was all new, remember? Experimental. The Founding Fathers knew they wouldn't get it all right and even suspected they would get some of it wrong.

2. "As I've said many times, "conservatism" cannot save America. It's too far gone from what it was intended to be to save it through holding on to what we have left. And that, by definition, it what "conservatism" is all about."

No. Your assessment of America being in a state of poor health is inaccurate. Yes, we DO have money problems and a deficit ten times the size of Texas. But, this is not what you are referring to, is it? Neither are you referring to pointless wars, the great need for good and affordable healthcare, bickering in Congress, helping communities to recover more quickly from natural disasters such as Katrina and Sandy, or dealing with the issues eating away at social security, are you?

What you are referring to is essentially a religious issue for you, isn't it? For some twisted reason you think the issues that this nation in particular experiences are the direct result of people falling away from God and Jesus, right?

3. "If "conservatism" means cutting the budget but still overspending, borrowing from future generations and ignoring constitutional limits on the federal government's power, then I am not a conservative. Yet that is what many of the most prominent conservatives are doing in Washington right now."

Oh, look! Here you try to make it look like it isn't a religious issue. This is a half-ass effort though, right? I mean, what is it that you say toward the very end of this article? Here is what you said:

"If there is an opportunity for the bad guys to manipulate and exploit the crisis they have created, there is also an opportunity for lovers of liberty and lovers of God to do the same."

See? You don't give a shit about the budget and the money and social security. What matters to you is WHO is qualified (according to your rules) to participate in various liberties and whether or not people who believe in God (presumably the same God you believe in) are the ones making the rules.

Don't kid yourself into thinking that this country's problems have to do with people not wishing to follow your Invisible Pal. Yes, there are leaders in this country who abuse the system, abuse money, and abuse liberties...but this is NOT the case with all or even a majority of our leaders and has NOTHING to do with God. These problems are caused by people and not by some all-powerful divine being trying to teach the citizens of this nation any kind of lesson.

4. "George Washington was not a "conservative." Neither were the other founders of this once great country. They actually came up with something quite new in the history of the world- the idea of self governance. They did something unique in the history of the world. They not only threw off the yoke of foreign domination, but they invented a political system that took the shackles off the people and placed those shackles where they belong on central government."

Sure, shackles were placed on our central government by the Founding Fathers. BUT, those shackles were intended for issues in regards to government function and legislation and NOT intended to shackle the government and prevent the government from changing things that somebody's God thinks are wrong...like same-sex marriage or removing religion from government (or keeping it out).

Again, you are by no means a revolutionary or anything even remotely similar. What you ARE is a pouting Christian, put-out by government shaking the tethers of religion. So, what you do is try to regain, or help to regain control by disguising your divine predilections as budget concerns, constitutional concerns (a HUGE lie), and concerns over abuses of personal liberties. Do these problems exist? Oh, yes...they do. But these issues are not your true focus, are they?

5. "Because we don't need to create something new. We only need to find our way to rediscovering what we had, something that was perverted over time and today is under full-scale assault."

You need to be specific here, Farah. Rediscover what we had? Which part do you want to rediscover? No marriage rights for gays and lesbians? No voting for women or blacks? Poll tax? Manifest Destiny and loads of dead and displaced Native Americans? God in schools? Guns for everyone? Prohibition? Segregation?

6. "In this case, the revolutionaries are the ones running the show. They are the lawless ones. They are the ones who are perverting justice and morality and order. We are merely the resistance fighters."

No. There are not revolutionaries running the show. Yes, there are some real mother fuckers in government who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground and who do abuse much. However, not every leader is like this no matter how much you want to over-exaggerate. Do we have some serious issues? YES. Name a country that does not...

...BUT, what makes America great has nothing to do with God and everything to do with our people and our desire to excel, to exceed expectations, to protect liberties for all, and to persist in a push to be fair. Sometimes we miss our mark...but goddamn if we don't keep getting right back up time and again. Even THAT takes a while at times, but THAT is who we are.

Also, so long as you approach the issues within justice, morality, and order from ANY kind of religious angle it is you who is doing the perverting. Your idea of resistance fighting is nothing more than resistance to fairness and change.

7. "A friend of mine said it this way: "We're not in the middle of a revolution. We're fighting the American Devolution.""

I think it is the devolution from the idea that America was founded by God, for God and for people who believe in God and worship God that bugs you and Christians like you the most. Not all Christians are like you...thank God.

8. "The very will of the American people is under attack in a thousand ways. It's under attack through the popular culture with its desensitizing images and messages. It's under attack from the establishment press, whose members think they are so much wiser than the simple rubes who work hard, provide for their families and serve their country faithfully and heroically in times of national emergency. It's under attack from high priests in black robes who issue decrees that make a disgrace of the concept of the rule of law and mock the will of the people. It's under attack from elitists who run major foundations. It's under attack from globalists who seek to destroy America's national sovereignty. And it's under attack from a central government that has broken the shackles deliberately placed on it just over 200 years ago by our Constitution. The onslaught is coming fast and furious from these enemies of liberty."

You make it sound like the American people are stupid. What is wrong with you? Do you really think our citizens are desensitized to the things in this world that are right? Do you only watch and think about and read about the bad things that happen in this nation? There ARE good things, you know. Just because people play GTA, watch risque movies, go to church less or not at all and listen to Lady Gaga that does not mean that they don't care about each other and don't love this country.

Oh, and I hope your reference to people serving the country faithfully DOES NOT only apply to those who believe in God, right? You DO know that Atheists who love this country, and people of other faiths who love this country serve faithfully as well...right alongside their Christian brothers and sisters, right?

9. "They are attempting to overwhelm the will of the people and the rule of law by setting political and cultural bushfires from coast to coast. The process is in overdrive. They believe they have an opportunity to reach their goals for the conquest of the American spirit in the short term, and they don't want to miss this opportunity."

Conquest of the American spirit? Conquest of the American spirit? We have made it through the Revolution, Civil War, sickness outbreaks, great natural disasters, world wars, conflicts, great political scandals, great tragedies in some of our individual communities, presidential assassinations, and FAR MORE. So, if you think the American spirit can be so quickly diminished, so obtusely swept aside with such great disdain...your faith is misleading you, and you sir, are fucked in the head.

How DOES God Win?

I Samuel 17:47 says, "...and that all this assembly may know that the LORD saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give you into our hand.”

Sooo...what does this verse mean? If you are a Christian what have you been taught that this verse means?

I was taught that this verse in part explained the saying, "The LORD works in mysterious ways." In other words, whatever the will of God is when it comes to winning and losing the fact remains that the LORD always wins. The paradox is that sometimes it is difficult to see the victory that already exists, or, even more difficult to refrain from labeling the loss of a situation as an indicator of God failing to win.

What the LORD/God calls a win is not always evident to man. It is a mystery to us why God has already won every battle and defeated Satan, it is a mystery to us why bad things happen to good people, it is a mystery to us how God always wins yet never so much as lifts a sword or tosses a spear.

Sooo...the LORD never raises a sword or a spear...and still wins? Let's take a peek into the Bible and find out how it is possible for God to always win.

Genesis 11:6-9
"Look!" he said. "The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them!

Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.”

So the LORD dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city.

Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of all the earth. And from there the LORD dispersed them over the face of all the earth.

Not all situations of winning and losing have to do with war. Sometimes it is just a matter of whether or not God is going to allow people to go about their lives peaceably. When God leaves people alone...great. Everyone wins. When God decides to stick His nose where it does not belong...man loses every time.

And what about the above verses? Where is the winning and losing? The losing is where God purposely throws the people into confusion, causing the people to disperse/disband. Man is the loser here, which by default makes God the winner. Sooo...here we have established that God has used CONFUSION to win.

Exodus 4:21
21 And the LORD told Moses, "When you arrive back in Egypt, go to Pharaoh and perform all the miracles I have empowered you to do. But I will harden his heart so he will refuse to let the people go.

This here is a very interesting, very telling verse when it comes to understanding how God tricks people into thinking they have any real power to begin with. God tells Moses to go and show Pharaoh all of these great wonders, actions that are supposed to convince Pharaoh to let the people of Israel go, right? Wrong. God has given all of these powers to Moses and they mean absolutely squat because God has purposely hardened Pharaoh's heart. Sooo, here we have established that God wins by interfering with a person's free will.

Exodus 7:3-4
But I will harden Pharaoh's heart that I may multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt.

Even then Pharaoh will refuse to listen to you. So I will bring down my fist on Egypt. Then I will rescue my forces--my people, the Israelites--from the land of Egypt with great acts of judgment.

Oh, look! Three cheers for God being consistent in continuing to harden Pharaoh's heart. Sooo...here in this case we see that God still presses for a win by interfering with or removing a person's free will altogether.

Exodus 7:13-14
13 Still Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the LORD had said.

14 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is hardened; he refuses to let the people go.
Please. As if God didn't know what the hell was going on. Here, God gets demerits for playing dumb, but does get kudos for His enduring consistency to win by hijacking man's free will.

Exodus 8:19
19 Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the LORD had said.

Sooo...here we have a slightly different version of God taking someone's free will hostage, right? How so? Read the verse. It says Pharaoh would not listen due to the hardening of his heart deafening his ears to what people around him were saying. The choice to listen to any one message or person is a power that must remain with the individual. That does not happen here.

Exodus 8:29
29 Moses answered, "As soon as I leave you, I will pray to the LORD, and tomorrow the swarms of flies will disappear from you and your officials and all your people. But I am warning you, Pharaoh, don't lie to us again and refuse to let the people go to sacrifice to the LORD."

Don't lie to us again? Pharaoh ISN'T lying because Pharaoh ISN'T making the choice to refuse to let the people go. God is doing that. Does Moses suffer from some kind of memory disorder? Does he not recall God informing him that God was going to harden Pharaoh's heart? Moses knows damn well what God is doing. It is Pharaoh who is the clueless one in this situation and that isn't even by his own choice but by God's bullshit fighting tactics. Sooo...here we have an interesting element added to God's bag of winning tricks: make the person you are against look like a liar when they are really not a liar. Pharaoh is not the one lying here. This little twisted game of pretend makes both God and Moses liars.

Exodus 10:1
Then the LORD said to Moses, "Return to Pharaoh and make your demands again. I have made him and his officials stubborn so I can display my miraculous signs among them.

Wow. Sooo...now God is going to include Pharaoh's officials in His twisted game of 'Let's Steal Someone's Free Will'. Why does God do this? Was robbing Pharaoh of HIS choice not enough? Is it because the officials are starting to realize something is wrong with Pharaoh and he would normally never react in this manner? Here we have God winning not just by taking the power of choice from one person...but from many. God obviously give a shit about the needs of the many or the needs of the few. His concern is the needs of the One.

Exodus 10:20
20 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the people of Israel go.

Geeze...how many times is God going to use this one tactic?

Exodus 10:27
27 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let them go.

Apparently lots and lots of times, right?

Exodus 11:10
10 Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh, and the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the people of Israel go out of his land.

Do you think God would use this tactic against you...maybe to teach you some fantastic lesson or two?

Exodus 12:36
36 And the LORD had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.

Holy shit! Now God has gone far beyond just bamboozling Pharaoh and his advisors. Here God robs an entire people of their minds/their power of choice. And WHY does He do this? So that on the way out of Egypt the people of God can rob the Egyptians of their valuables. How is THAT for a divine tactic to win?

Exodus 14:17
17 And I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they shall go in after them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, his chariots, and his horsemen.

Ahhh...so it is NOT enough that God has used terrible tactics to win and get His people out of Egypt, to rob the Egyptians, and to leave in victory. No, this is not enough of a win. God wants a GREATER win so more people will be strangled by fear and choose to believe in Him. Sooo...what does God do? Again, God wins by taking a person's power to choose. The Pharaoh and his army have no choice but to follow the people of God. Lovely.

Exodus 14:24-25
24 And in the morning watch the LORD in the pillar of fire and of cloud looked down on the Egyptian forces and threw the Egyptian forces into a panic,

That's right...God DID take your freedom of choice, but He does have a nice parting gift for you as He decimates you in a great victory:PANIC. God loves using panic and does it quite often in the Old Testament.

25 clogging their chariot wheels so that they drove heavily. And the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from before Israel, for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians.”

If only the Egyptians knew that the LORD fights for no one other than Himself.

Numbers 11:1
Soon the people began to complain about their hardship, and the LORD heard everything they said. Then the LORD's anger blazed against them, and he sent a fire to rage among them, and he destroyed some of the people in the outskirts of the camp.

Sooo...the people are upset and have complaints. Instead of talking with the people and fixing things, God wins the argument by BURNING some of the people to death.

Numbers 21:3
And the LORD heeded the voice of Israel and gave over the Canaanites, and they devoted them and their cities to destruction. So the name of the place was called Hormah.

See, when God's people win it isn't because God is so great and mighty and full of love and peace. No. They are not victorious in the true sense of victory where justice and truth win. Here the victory comes because God made it impossible for them to lose by simply giving the Canaanites over. Nice.

Numbers 21:34-35
34 But the LORD said to Moses, “Do not fear him, for I have given him into your hand, and all his people, and his land. And you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.”

Is it just me or does it seem like God loves to simply hand people over to great destruction?

Deuteronomy 7:2
When the LORD your God hands these nations over to you and you conquer them, you must completely destroy them. Make no treaties with them and show them no mercy.

Ahh, here we have yet another way God wins: SHOW NO MERCY.

Deuteronomy 7:19
19 the great trials that your eyes saw, the signs, the wonders, the mighty hand, and the outstretched arm, by which the LORD your God brought you out. So will the LORD your God do to all the peoples of whom you are afraid.

Really? Where was this mighty hand for the people of God during WWII? Just wondering. Is that another ones of those God wins in mysterious ways things?

Deuteronomy 7:23
23 But the LORD your God will give them over to you and throw them into great confusion, until they are destroyed.

Oh look, the LORD also wins by throwing people into confusion. Remember...this is NOT their own confusion because GOD put that confusion there.

Joshua 11:8
And the LORD gave them into the hand of Israel, who struck them and chased them as far as Great Sidon and Misrephoth-maim, and eastward as far as the Valley of Mizpeh. And they struck them until he left none remaining.

You know what this is? God takes a bunch of people who are on their own property, says "Here you are!" to His own people as He orders the original inhabitants driven out and killed, then when His people kill everyone who was originally there says, "You win." Actually He really means, "I win," but you get the picture.

Joshua 11:20
20 For it was the LORD’s doing to harden their hearts that they should come against Israel in battle, in order that they should be devoted to destruction and should receive no mercy but be destroyed, just as the LORD commanded Moses.

Oh yeah, here we have verification of God purposely making people choose war in order that God win.

Judges 4:15
15 When Barak attacked, the LORD threw Sisera and all his chariots and warriors into a panic. Sisera leaped down from his chariot and escaped on foot.

God loves reusing and reusing and reusing His various tricks to win. Here? That old bugaboo PANIC.

Judges 9:23
23 And God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the leaders of Shechem, and the leaders of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech,

Look here! God is not above using black magic to win. If you did this in modern times what would it be called, hum? Black magic. Sending an evil spirit to someone? Black magic. This is your God. This is how He wins. And this is only a FEW of the verses like this that are in the Bible.
